They are dry and ready to post with another two. I will send all of them tomorrow morning. I still think about larger paintings with more than one bird on but I need more time and quiet surrounding I hope I may catch it with spring.

My last post nearly year time ago and no bird paintings till now. My customers are very patient some of them wait few months for my paintings, I wish I might paint more birds in future. Bird painting give me lot of pleasure and help me survive difficult times. Those two above are copies of paintings I did before hope they are little better.

My wife Ela is 35 weeks pregnant today, some of you may know what that’s mean. I have to support her, looking after Suzanne and make our flat ready to welcome another daughter so I haven’t time to paint. I hope soon finish decorating our bedroom then will have more time to paint.

Those two Blue Tits I did few days ago but today painted another two for view as soon as they can go into scanner.

This one will fly tomorrow to 96 years old my wife's grandmother for her birthday.

I have twelve little canvases 4x4 inches they are very nice and I though painting on will be most pleasurable but unfortunately they are difficult for me don't know why, maybe too small or canvas to thick.

I have to varnish this painting because some of parts were shiny when dry. So I shine all painting by dammar varnish. Mostly I don’t do it because is difficult to photo shiny picture to show online.

Wow, that’s over two weeks passed when we started our new gallery shop online. I was stick to monitor to design our webpage, Ela was looking after our daughter and during breaks paint new cat. I am painting loot of quicker so I did two birds and I am very happy I am back in business. My ambition was to make professional looking web site but I am not professional webpage designer so I gave up after two weeks. Here are two little birds (I love the small ones). I did some drawing of robins, (one is singing) for tomorrow morning painting. I had problem with my charcoal pencil as you see on first sketch. Changed pencil to pastel one, work is slower and because that more detailed, see what tomorrow, thick brush and paint will cover everything.

I started this painting yesterday morning, after sketch by charcoal pencil did some quick undercoat painting, because is oil I wait as paint will be dryer till today morning. Then I added some fresh colour in shadows then some light and details by thin brush.
